Follow That Septuagenarian!

Speaking of muppets, ever wonder how they "do" Big Bird? I know I have: sure, one hand controls the mouth, one controls an arm...but what about the eyes, and the other arm? Fortunately, 74-year-old Caroll Spinney - who's performed the character (as well as Oscar the Grouch) for nearly 40 years - spilled the beans to WaPo.

Also, how do I get to be a Muppet Wrangler?

Now, just so you know this post led me to reading about Jim Henson online, watching his funeral tribute (tear-jerker) on youtube, and many other muppet related things. So, that was my morning...

1.) I'd also planned on trying to find his funeral online; I'll have to do that. (Incidentally, there's a movie about his life in the works.)

2.) Indeed, it is in reference to "FTB," which was an important movie in my childhood.

3.) I got a strong urge to apply for a Sesame St. internship while reading it...
